WSBK Phillip Island FP1 Results

It was a shaky start in FP1 for the riders as they had to contend with early spots of rain which left Adam Norrodin briefly leading the timesheets 30 seconds down. However, a few minutes into the session, all riders were then out on track and we were able to see some competitive lap times at the very end of the session.

With the mixed conditions playing their part, the field was pretty jumbled up leaving the usual contenders unable to put in a time which is representative of their pace.

It was Yamaha’s Andrea Locatelli who led the session with a lap time of 1m 29.1s ahead of the Lowes twins.

The satellites of Remy Gardner, Andrea Iannone and Rubens Rinaldi were in hot pursuit in fourth, fifth and sixth respectively ahead of contenders Nicolo Bulega and Alvaro Bautista.

Dominique Aegerter slotted himself in ninth ahead of BMW’s Toprak Razgatlioglu.

Rea’s misery continues as he struggles to find pace on the Australian circuit, finishing the session in twelveth.
