Nicolo Bulega becomes the first rider ever to break into the 1’27s as the rookie takes pole in his debut weekend by going six tenths faster than fellow rookie, Andrea Iannone.
Nicolo Bulega becomes the first rider ever to break into the 1’27s as the rookie takes pole in his debut weekend by going six-tenths faster than fellow rookie, Andrea Iannone.
Alex Lowes slotted in behind the rookie duo at the top, ahead of Dominique Aegerter who surprisingly ended up as the fastest Yamaha rider in qualifying.
Toprak Razgatlioglu finished fifth and will have the leading quartet in his sights but the riders who won’t have that luxury include Alvaro Bautista and Jonathan Rea who were ninth and eleventh in the session respectively.
Andrea Locatelli wasn’t far behind Toprak, as he starts from P6 ahead of Gardner and Sam Lowes.
