Pedro Acosta set to replace Jack Miller already in 2025?
Acosta’s contract has a unique clause in it which would allow him to get released from KTM, should the Austrian marque not promote him into their factory team for 2025.

2024 season hasn’t started yet we we’re already talking about the silly season scrambles for 2025.
Thanks to this piece of information reported by Motorsports.com, which has already become the first sign of what the silly season has on offer for 2024, with KTM already planning to promote Pedro Acosta to its factory lineup despite the rookie not having a race weekend under his belt.
This move resembles the Red Bull F1 Team’s promotion of then eighteen-year-old Max Verstappen when the Austrian marque replaced Danil Kvyat just one and half years into Max’s debut. Max would soon go on to win three world championships with Red Bull, highlighting the success of this brutal driver maneuvering by the Austrian drinks company.
Following the footsteps of such a move, Red Bull has risen to become a title sponsor for the GasGas KTM team for the upcoming 2024 season, owing to Pedro Acosta’s arrival to the team. It’s clear, that KTM and Red Bull see similar potential with Pedro Acosta as they saw with Max Verstappen in 2016, so it comes as no surprise if they promote Pedro Acosta early for 2025.
“I am calm with KTM; I know that if the decisions are not taken in two months,” said Pedro Acosta when quipped about his future. ”They will be taken in three, four, or we will have to wait until the end of the season.”
“So, it will only be a matter of time, as many months as it takes, to decide what we will do.”
With market talks already dominating Pedro Acosta’s ambitions, Jack Miller will need a massive 2024 season if he were to retain his seat as KTM’s golden boy.
With Pedro Acosta’s leaked contract clause pointing toward the official KTM colors, one might assume that the Australian is already on his way out.
