Rookie superstar Pedro Acosta brings his hype-train to reality by leading on day 3 of the Sepang Shakedown ahead of KTM test rider Pol Espargaro.
Pedro Acosta continues to impress with a solid progression through all three days with the Spaniard already well adapted to the RC even before the Official test has taken place, where he will get a chance to compare himself against fellow full time factory riders Brad Binder and Jack Miller.
Johan Zarco also had a productive day 3 with the Frenchman coming to grips with his new Honda, finishing the day in third ahead of fellow Frenchman Fabio Quartararo and KTM’s Dani Pedrosa.
New aero-upgrades have been the main talking points of the shakedown test with KTM introducing an F1-style frontwing to its front fender as featured on Dani Pedrosa’s bike on Day 2.

Aprilia brought major upgrades to its front fairing and rear. The rear of the RSGP which they are experimenting with comprises of a ‘cadillac-style’ fins on its tail and a large carbon shell covering a large space of the wheel.

Similarly, Honda were also not shy of making major amendments to its aero package, with the Japanese giant bringing an intriguing combination of Ducati’s infamous ‘Stegosaurus style’ tail design, and KTM’s formula one style rear wing. The Japanese giant claims to have reduced a lot of weight for its brand new 2024 challenger a it looks to climb back to winning ways.

The sole Ducati of Michele Pirro also brought slight changes to the Ducati’s front fairing.

Yamaha were the team that brought in the least aero changes but the Iwata based squad might just be testing some other parts.
