Day one of the unofficial 2024 Sepang test saw the KTM trio of Dani Pedrosa, Pedro Acosta and Pol Espargaro lead the way with Honda’s Stefan Bradl.
Honda and Aprilia brought in some major aero-upgrades to their package, with Honda testing an intriguing combination of Ducati’s infamous ‘Stegosaurus style’ tail, and KTM’s formula one style rear wing.

But a more radical aerodynamic upgrade was seen on the Aprilia, with Lorenzo Savadori testing a drastic Cadillac-style double fin on the rear of the Aprilia. Another feature that could also be seen on Aprilia’s swingarm is the large carbon fiber shell, which covered a major portion of the bike’s rear wheel.

In Day 2, we will see Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins join Yamaha’s test rider Cal Crutchlow as per the new concession rules, which allow both Yamaha and Honda unlimited testing days in 2024.
