Pol Espargaro led Day 2 of the Sepang Shakedown as Pedro Acosta finished in 3rd

Day 2 of the Sepang Shakedown saw a number of full time riders on the grid with full lineups of Yamaha and Honda taking to the track alongside rookie Pedro Acosta who was the sole full-timer yesterday.
While it was Dani Pedrosa who led off the blocks on Day 1 of the Sepang shakedown, it was fellow KTM test rider Pol Espargaro’s turn to light up the timing sheets with a lap time of 1m 58.2s.
The Spaniard was hotly pursued by Yamaha’s Fabio Quartararo and rookie Pedrosa Acosta, who again impresses with an amazing show of speed, finishing the day only 0.290s off of Pol’s time.
Behind Pedro Acosta were Dani Pedrosa and Yamaha’s newcomer, Alex Rins.
Joan Mir led Honda’s charge by finishing Day 2 sixth, ahead of Zarco, Marini, Nakagami and Bradl.
Michele Pirro finished the day in eleventh ahead of Yamaha’s Cal Crutchlow with Aprila’s Lorenzo Savadori rounding up the field.
