Nicolo Bulega once again stormed to the top of the leaderboard by setting a lap time 0.094s faster than BMW’s Toprak Razgatlioglu.
The BMWs of Toprak Razgatlioglu and Van der Mark were the early pacesetters before Rea briefly took the lead only for Bulega to strike to the top of the standings by becoming the first rider under the 1m 40 seconds barrier.
Reigning world champion Alvaro Bautista had a better showing than in Jerez, finishing the day in tenth, 0.760 seconds off of teammate Bulega.
There were also several MotoGP riders in attendance, including Francesco Bagnaia, Enea Bastianini, Fabio Digianantonio, Luca Marini, and Marco Bezzecchi, along with a surprise entrant in the form of MotoGP Hall of Famer and nine – times world champion Valentino Rossi.
Francesco Bagnaia was the top MotoGP rider, finishing the day three seconds adrift of Nicolo Bulega with Valentino Rossi rounding up the grid 4.7 seconds behind.
